Terms of Service

Effective October 6, 2026

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Boyd Intel (boydintel.com), the operator of Rareform, owned and developed by Brandon Boyd. By creating an account or using Rareform on the web or iPhone you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Rareform.

What Rareform is

Rareform is a cataloging and valuation tool for trading card collectors. Values, price histories and AI identifications are estimates built from public market data and the details you enter. They are provided for information only, may lag the live market, and do not authenticate a card, certify its grade or constitute financial advice.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rareform, and you confirm your age range when you sign up or first sign in with Apple or Google. If you are under 13, do not use Rareform; accounts of users under 13 are deleted. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date. One person may not operate multiple accounts to evade blocks, reports or moderation.

Marketplace and transactions

You must be at least 18 years old to create a marketplace listing, because listings publish your contact details. You confirm this each time you create a listing; users who said they are 13–17 cannot post listings.

The Market is a browse-only space. Rareform does not process payments, provide checkout, hold funds, ship items or offer escrow or buyer protection. Any transaction happens off-platform, directly between you and the other user, entirely at your own risk. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the authenticity and condition of their cards, and compliance with applicable laws and taxes.

Rareform in ChatGPT

The Rareform app in ChatGPT provides market references, offer ranges, walk-away prices and suggested wording. These are informational estimates based on the same data as the Rareform app; they may be stale or unavailable, are always labelled as raw or graded, and are not an appraisal, authentication or financial advice. You decide what to offer and whether to buy, sell or trade.

Rareform does not process payments, place orders or contact other people on your behalf through ChatGPT. Linking your account is optional and lets ChatGPT search your collection, save cards and log deals only when you ask. Your use of ChatGPT is also governed by OpenAI's terms, and Rareform is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.

Content and conduct

You keep ownership of the photos, text and listings you post, and you grant Rareform a non-exclusive licence to store, display and moderate that content in order to run the service. You must have the right to share anything you upload.

You agree not to post counterfeit, stolen, illegal, misleading, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content; not to impersonate others or scrape the service; and not to interfere with Rareform's operation or other users' use of it. Listings are reviewed before they appear; profiles publish immediately. Either may be removed at any time, including after a report. Report and block tools are provided as in-app protections and do not guarantee immediate resolution.

Copyright and DMCA

Rareform respects copyright and responds to notices of alleged infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Only upload photos and text you created or have permission to share.

To report material on Rareform that you believe infringes your copyright, use the public copyright form at https://ecstatic-altruistic-cron.replit.app/copyright (no account needed) or send a written notice to our designated copyright agent: Brandon Boyd, Copyright Agent, Boyd Intel; email brandon@boydintel.com; mailing address [OWNER TO COMPLETE: legal mailing address]. Signed-in users can also choose "Copyright" as the reason when reporting a listing or profile.

A notice must include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (3) the Rareform link(s) to the material you want removed; (4) your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. Knowingly false claims can create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material and tell the user who posted it.

Counter-notice: if your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice through the same form or to the agent above, including (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the removed material and where it appeared; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Rareform may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice. We forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant and may restore the material 10 to 14 business days later unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers: each valid copyright removal counts as a strike against the account that posted the material. An account that receives 3 strikes is suspended, and we may suspend sooner for clear or serious infringement. Suspended accounts cannot post listings, change their public profile or upload public content, and their listings and profile are hidden. If a counter-notice is upheld or a notice is withdrawn, we may reinstate a suspended account.

Third-party data and trademarks

Card images, set data and prices come from third-party sources such as PokéTrace, TCGdex and Pokemon Price Tracker and remain the property of their owners. Pokémon and related names and images are trademarks of their respective owners. Rareform is an independent fan-built tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, PSA or any card publisher or grading company.

Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile. Deletion is complete only when the app confirms it; if photo uploads were recently started you may need to wait for those links to expire and retry. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk, including repeat copyright infringers as described above.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Rareform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boyd Intel and Brandon Boyd are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from reliance on estimates, from off-platform transactions, or from the conduct of other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to Rareform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free app is zero.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as Rareform evolves; the effective date above will change and material updates will be noted in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
